Welcome Home ~ Flora Waycott
Flora Waycott is an artist and illustrator, living in Western Australia. She spent a colourful childhood in England and Japan, where her love of art and design was born.
After gaining a degree in Textile Design in the U.K., Flora worked as a textile designer in London before transitioning to illustration and painting. Her background in textiles feeds into her work today; evident through colour combinations, patterns and detail and has always been a big influence on her work.
Her paintings are a culmination of daily observations; a love of plants and cherished small encounters which come to life on paper. Inspired by small moments of life, she paints the world around her, expressing the magic of growth and togetherness in human experience.

The collection “Welcome Home” portrays soothing interior scenes, favourite objects and treasured garments, in gratitude to our personal spaces which housed us and kept us safe over the past couple of years. Having a well-loved blouse to wear or a cherished mug to hold feels more meaningful when we cannot interact with the outside world. This collection of paintings is a reminder to slow down, reflecting upon what is right in front of us: memories and experiences tied up in our rooms and objects.
