Coburg Pennant

Coburg; notorious these days for it's drive-in movie theatre, night market and diverse food culture, is one of Melbourne's oldest suburbs. Most of Coburg was part of 600 acre farm called Moreland, bought by Farquhar McCrae in 1841. It wasn't long before there were several farms, pubs and a bluestone quarry. The bluestone was used all over Melbourne and most importantly in one of Coburg's more sobering architectural edifices, HM Prison Pentridge. Pentridge became the dominant image of Coburg until it was closed in 1997.

Whatever your attachment to Coburg is this pennant will show your allegiance to this great suburb.
