Ian McKenzie ~ Number 16 cycle caps

Mariner and bespoke cycle cap maker, Ian McKenzie makes each one of these caps by hand.

When McKenzie is on land he's busy trying to keep up with custom orders for his caps, at sea he's able to buy fabric from port cities like Tokyo and Helsinki.

These wax print caps are a Boroughs exclusive.

Each classic 4-panel design is constructed from pre-shrunk cotton, in this case, sourced from Africa. Ian insists that there'll be no 'moisture wicking' fabric in his caps!

All seams are finished with French fine herringbone cotton tape which gives his caps a more robust and contoured look, compared to a basic overlocked stitch finish.

Visors are cut from 1mm thick vinyl and as is typical with cycle caps, have a fairly narrow width (50mm).

We are truly fortunate to be able to stock these immaculate bespoke caps.

In store for more colours.
