Lilly Pilly Socks
Silky soft nylon Knee-hi socks, featuring a lesser known Australian tree, Lilly Pilly.
A plant that likes moist gullies and yields a bright violet fruit much loved by noisy parrots. It's been cultivated the world over. Today it's a favourite for making jam or jelly, originally it formed part of the staple diet of the indigenous community of Australia's South East prior to colonisation.
This light and playful interpretation drawn by Adelaide based artist and illustrator Julie White. Julie's original hand-drawn art celebrates Australia's natural beauty, paying homage to earlier exponents of our textile design history.
