North Fitzroy Pennant
Ever the home of free willed independent thinkers North Fitzroy separated from Melbourne around 1858 to become the first suburb and the smallest municipality. It was thought of as a pleasant place to live where fine Victorian terraces mixed in with industry until the Great Depression rendered it to slum status. It took several decades to shrug off the tag until creative types moved in during the 70's and 80's and several waves of migrants called it their home.
Today North Fitzroy is a long way from a slum or a working class suburb, it's one of Melbourne's inner city jewels.
Whatever your attachment to North Fitzroy this pennant will show you love the hood.
