Parul Sen ~ "I Love Local"
‘I Love Local’ is an exploration of the dynamic relationship between buildings and our experience of it.
Parul’s work is a celebration of the ordinary and the mundane everyday scene, creating a sense of nostalgia.
Parul Sen is a digital artist originally from Jaipur, India, and has lived in Melbourne for the past 13 years. Her vibrant, decluttered style is heavily influenced by her background in graphic design and the colours of Jaipur, also known as the Pink city.
The series features cafés in Melbourne with an interesting past that has had to adapt to the changing times. What remains intact is each building in all its glory and a thriving community around it. Her work brings together the old with the new, ornate with straight lines, man-made with natural and traditional with digital.
